What it's like

Pilates fundamentals, run with props. Hand weights, and resistance bands appear throughout, used playfully rather than heavily.

Some sections are slow and deep, holding under tension. Others are dynamic and quicker. Everything stays guided by breath and body awareness.

Expect to work harder than in mat Pilates and to feel it the next day, in a good way.

Why people practice this?

It adds the one thing mat Pilates lacks: load. Precision plus resistance builds strength faster than either alone, while keeping the joint-friendly quality that makes Pilates worth doing. Stability and mobility get trained in equal measure, which is unusual. Most classes favour one and quietly neglect the other. And it's genuinely enjoyable. The props change the rhythm of the class, so it moves between slow and deep and strong and dynamic rather than staying in one gear.

Is this for you?

You'll get on with Pilates Sculpt if you:
• Like Pilates but want more intensity
• Want strength work that isn't a gym session
• Enjoy props and variety
• Are building both stability and mobility

New to Pilates? Fine to start here, though a couple of mat classes first will help you know what the cues mean.

No. You build the strength by doing the class. Teachers give lighter and heavier options throughout.

Is it like the gym?

No. Slower and more precise, focused on control rather than reps. Harder than it looks.

Mat or reformer?

Mat Pilates, on the floor with small props. We don't have reformer machines.

Do I need experience?

What should I wear?

Anything you can move in. Classes are barefoot, and props are provided.

Do I need a mat?

How do I book?

yourtribes.nl/schedule or through the Fit by Wix app, code NCL5XG. You'll need a pass or card first.
