Streetdance
Streetdance pulls from hiphop, house and everything that grew out of them. Classes are built around learning choreography: a phrase taught piece by piece, repeated, then run full-out with the track. It's the style most children ask for by name, and the one that most often turns into years of dancing.
At Tribes it runs from age seven upwards, with groups getting sharper and faster as they go.
When & where to practice
What it's like
A warm-up to the beat, then choreography broken into small pieces and built up over the weeks. Everything is taught in the room, so nothing is assumed. Clean indoor trainers.

Why people practice this?
Because it's the one they've seen and want to do. Streetdance is where most children start dancing and where a lot of them stay, partly because the music is theirs and partly because progress is visible. A phrase that felt impossible in September is second nature by December.
Is this for you?
For children and teenagers who like music loud and want to learn real choreography. No experience needed to start.
