Acrodance
Acrodance sits between dance and gymnastics. Children learn flowing modern dance alongside acrobatic elements: bridges, handstands, cartwheels and rolls, built up carefully so the strength arrives before the trick does.
It suits children who cannot sit still and want to be upside down, and it builds real body awareness along the way.
When & where to practice
What it's like
A thorough warm-up, then strength and flexibility work, then acrobatic elements practised one at a time with support. Choreography ties it together. Bare feet, and something comfortable to move in.

Why people practice this?
Because some children want to be upside down and no amount of choreography will change that. Acrodance gives them somewhere to do it safely, and the strength and body awareness that come with it turn out to be useful everywhere else.
Is this for you?
For children from eight upwards who like being upside down. No gymnastics experience needed, everything is built from the ground up.
