Ballet has been my passion since childhood, and I am dedicated to passing on both that passion and my experience to my students.
My experience in classical ballet spans more than 50 years — from student to soloist, teacher, and choreographer. After a successful ballet career in Russia, I have been teaching ballet and pointe classes in various schools across Russia and the Netherlands for decades.
To me, ballet is first and foremost a dance. I therefore pay great attention to stage presence and presentation: musicality and emotion give dance colour and expression, and connect with the audience. At the same time, I consider technical training essential — it ensures students' safety, develops their physical capabilities, and opens up new possibilities in their dancing.
I teach using the Vaganova system, which brings together ballet technique, a sense of dance, and musical and artistic development. At the heart of this method is a simple truth: small details can make a big difference.
