An introduction to pointe work for dancers with a classical ballet foundation who are ready to take their first steps en pointe.
This 30-minute class focuses on building the strength, stability, and alignment needed to move safely and confidently on pointe. We work through targeted exercises for the feet, ankles, and legs, developing the technical foundation that makes good pointe work possible. The pace is careful and progressive, always prioritising safety over speed.
For dancers with a solid ballet foundation. Please check with your teacher if you are unsure whether this class is the right step for you at this stage.
Good to know
• Autumn break: October 17 to 25 included. If your teacher organises things differently, they'll let you know.
• End of season show: weekend of December 19 & 20, part of the Tribes 10-year celebration. Participation is optional.
• If you join the show, a small participation fee applies to cover costumes, professional photos and video, and organisational costs. We keep this as low as possible. Your teacher will communicate the amount in advance.
