Modern Jazz 30+

A dance class for adults 30 and over who want to move, express themselves, and have fun with it.

Modern Jazz 30+ blends jazz, contemporary, and modern dance styles to challenge you physically and creatively. Each class works on musicality, strength, coordination, and self-expression, building a dance flow that feels authentic to you. The pace is accessible and the atmosphere is warm, whether you are a complete beginner or returning after time away.

Open to all levels. No prior dance experience needed, just the desire to move.

Start of semester: 7 September
End of semester: 26 June

    •   December Show: weekend of December 19 & 20, part of the Tribes 10-year celebration. Participation is optional.
    •   If you join the show, a small participation fee applies to cover costumes, professional photos and video, and organisational costs. We keep this as low as possible. Your teacher will communicate the amount in advance.

Classes follow the school holidays in Leiden. There are no classes on the following days:
    •    Leidens Ontzet: Friday 2 & Saturday 3 October 2026
    •    Autumn break: 17 – 25 October 2026
    •    Christmas break: 19 December 2026 – 3 January 2027
    •    Spring break: 20 – 28 February 2027
    •    Easter weekend: Friday 26 – Monday 29 March 2027
    •    May holidays (incl. King's Day & Ascension Day): 24 April – 9 May 2027
    •    Whitsun weekend (incl. King’s day & Ascension): Saturday 15 – Monday 17 May 2027
