In this choreo intensive, we dive into the process of creating together. Not just learning steps, but understanding what it actually means to build a piece. How to listen to the music, how to connect to each other, and how to step into a shared world as a dancer and as an artist.
We’ll explore how to open ourselves up to different styles, different energies, and the group dynamic. How to move beyond your own habits and start responding to the music, to the space, and to the people around you.
Alongside the creative process, there is a strong physical layer.
We’ll challenge the body, look for new possibilities, and push beyond familiar limits not for the sake of pushing, but to expand your range as a dancer.
How do you use your body in a way that actually communicates something?
How do you let the audience in, instead of just showing movement?
This intensive is about that space in between; where technique, creativity, and presence come together. The piece that we make will be performed in the RMO (Rijksmuseum van Oudheden) on August 20th 19:30 - a special evening performance by Tribes.
