The GYROKINESIS® movement method is designed to cultivate body awareness and enhance everyday as well as more challenging movement practices. Whether on the mat, seated on a stool, or standing, this practice focuses on elongating the spine to alleviate tension and compression. By incorporating rhythmic, fluid movements synchronized with breath, you can achieve a sense of balance and efficiency in your physical activity. This practice not only enhances mobility, strength, and flexibility but also stimulates the nervous system, heightening your sensory perception.

Experience this pre- and post natal Gyrokinesis class to support your changing body through this precious period. The movements are largely executed seated on a stool giving the maternal body the opportunity to be supported and still create maximum mobility in the spinal region. Especially important to keep strength and suppleness in the lower back as the pelvis tilts forward with the growing belly. Integrity of the pelvic floor and diaphragm is maintained through breathing exercises creating deep awareness of these two domes that support the growing pressure, down as well as upwards, of the baby and the organ system. A healthy pelvic floor will also help faster recovery after delivery.

Gyrokinesis is inclusive and adaptable. Therefore, this class is open to everyone that seeks more conscious and liberated movement in the spine and joint structures but it is mainly focused on the needs of pregnant women. Join us to discover newfound freedom in movement and improve your posture.
