Learn the foundations of waacking. Waacking was inspired by Los Angeles movie stars and the glamour of the silver screen, dancers expressed themselves with dramatic arm movements, poses, and fierce musicality. Waacking became a way to claim space, celebrate individuality, and tell stories through movement.
During the course we start with a juicy warm-up, stretching, mobilizing, and waking up especially the upper body. Then it’s time for foundations: every class you’ll pick up 2 new waacking moves to add to your toolkit.
From there we slide into choreo, a combo mixing fierce arms with matching sexy footwork. The piece grows over a few weeks, adding 3–4 eight-counts each time so you can really embody it!
And when show season hits? 🔥 Choreo time becomes performance rehearsal!
