What to expect
We build the flow in three phases. First with nothing in your hands, so the shapes land. Then with a block balanced on one hand overhead, which shows you quickly how much has to line up from your foot to your hand to keep it there. Then with a kettlebell.
By the time the bell arrives you already know where you are going. The block taught you the line, the bell puts weight on it. Held in one hand it pulls you off centre, so everything through your middle works to keep you square. And a weight that travels with you asks more than the same weight held still. Playful, demanding, and you walk out feeling capable.
"Tribes turns ten this year. I have been here for seven of them, and what I teach has moved a long way in that time. The intention is still sacred, the presence is still the point, but the tools and the movement styles feeding my practice and my teaching have widened tremendously. This class is one of those additions."

What you'll take away
• A flow you can run loaded or unloaded, whichever the day calls for
• A feel for what a weight does to shapes you already know
• A first go with a kettlebell, without a gym built around it
Kettlebells are provided, 4 kg and 8 kg. Everyone starts with the 4. If that is still too much there are dumbbells of 1 and 2 kg.
No lifting experience needed, though you want to be comfortable taking your arms overhead.
How to book
For our 10-year anniversary, we’re hosting a weekend of beautiful, specially created classes, with a few surprises along the way to thank you for being part of Tribes.
Book as you would any other open class, using your membership, class card or pass. Spots are limited, so book early!
Please be mindful when booking: for this weekend only, we’re using a 12-hour cancellation window. You can cancel free of charge up to 12 hours before your special starts. If you can’t join us, cancelling in time gives someone on the waiting list enough notice to take your place and helps us avoid empty spots. A €7.50 fee applies to late cancellations and no-shows.
All classes have a waiting list. If a spot becomes available, you’ll receive a message and have 60 minutes to claim it.

Teaching movement is my excuse to keep learning. It lets me master new techniques and evolve alongside my students. It is multidimensional, taking in philosophy, self-development, anatomy and energetics. That richness allows endless exploration, and the exploring is what excites me.
