Show Jazz Inter/Adv

This class for intermediate/advanced dancers will be about performance, incorporating different jazz elements. We will mix technique with performativity, to delve into the world of jazz, the stage, the dance and the music!
The class will start with a warming up, including strength building. Also a little bit of improvisation, as that is one of the foundations of jazz. After that, we will work on more technical elements, such as coordination, isolations and musicality. Then we are really going to move! Across the floor with different combinations of typical jazz crossings. Different walks, jumps and turns for example. We do this to become aware of our body placement in space. This will get increasingly complex during the year, with different directions and speed. We end the class with a fun, performative choreography!
