When & where to practice
What it's like
Gentle, unhurried movement adapted throughout for pregnancy, with plenty of props and support. Stretching, breathing and deep relaxation, at a pace that suits how you feel that day.
Nothing is compulsory and everything can be adjusted. Teachers are experienced with prenatal practice and will offer alternatives as your pregnancy progresses.
Expect a warm, quiet room and time to actually rest at the end.

Why people practice this?
Comfort is the immediate draw. Pregnancy puts new demands on hips, lower back and pelvis, and gentle guided movement helps ease the tension that builds as things change. Rest matters just as much. Deep relaxation is harder to come by during pregnancy, and a class that ends with proper stillness is often the calmest hour of the week. There's also the room itself. Practising alongside other pregnant women, comparing notes, feeling less alone in it, turns out to be a large part of why people keep coming back.
Is this for you?
You'll get on with Prenatal Yoga if you:
• Are pregnant and want to keep moving safely
• Are carrying tension in your back, hips or shoulders
• Want an hour of calm in a busy few months
• Would like to meet others at the same stage New to yoga entirely? That's completely fine. This class assumes no prior experience. As with any movement during pregnancy, check with your midwife or doctor first, and tell your teacher which trimester you're in before class.
