What it's like
You'll work through full choreographies, complex material from legends like BoA and EXO alongside newer groups such as IVE and Zerobaseone. The focus is on precision and performance quality: hitting the details, staying together, and pushing your movement further than the last routine did. Every few weeks brings a new song, so you're constantly learning rather than polishing one thing forever.

Why people practice this?
Variety is the draw. K-pop choreography borrows from hiphop, jazz, contemporary and more, so a term covers more ground than a single-style course ever would.
Precision improves quickly. The choreography is detailed and synchronised by nature, which trains a level of accuracy that carries into everything else you dance.
And there's the obvious pleasure of learning the routine to a song you already love, properly, rather than approximately in your kitchen.
Is this for you?
You'll get on with K-pop if you:
• Already know the choreography in your head
• Want detailed, precise material to sink your teeth into
• Like learning something new every few weeks
• Enjoy dancing in sync with a group We run beginner through advanced. The beginner course assumes no dance experience, just enthusiasm for the music.

Questions people ask
Do I need special shoes?
Mostly no. Bare feet, socks or trainers are fine. Ballet is easier in soft shoes.
Am I too old?
No. Our beginners groups run from twenties to sixties, and most people are starting from nothing.
Do I need to know the steps?
No. Everything is taught and repeated in the class itself.
Can I try first?
Yes, at the Trial Dance Weekend just before each season, €7.50 a class. For drop-in classes, the Trial Week is €19.95.
How do I book a course?
On the website, at yourtribes.nl/courses. Your spot is then secured for the full course.
New to dance?
Yes. Every style has a beginners group, and each course states its level. Email discover@yourtribes.nl if you're unsure.
Coming on my own?
Plenty of people do. No pressure to socialise, connection happens over time.
How do I book?
Website or the Fit by Wix app, code NCL5XG. You'll need a pass or card first.
