What it's like

Classes build on each other. You'll work rhythm, isolations and footwork in the warm-up, then develop choreography across the weeks, getting quicker at picking material up as you go.

Expect grounded movement, sharp dynamics, and time spent on how a move sits in the music rather than just what it looks like.

We run beginner through advanced, plus commercial and femme-focused groups.

Tribes Leiden Dance Course Hiphop

Why people practice this?

Groove is the skill, and it's the one that separates dancers who know the steps from dancers who look good doing them. Hiphop trains it directly.

Musicality develops fast here. Staying grounded in the beat while executing sharp movement teaches you to hear music differently, and it transfers to every other style.

There's also the confidence side. Hiphop expects you to bring something personal to a combination rather than reproduce it exactly, and that's a habit worth having.

Is this for you?

You'll get on with Hiphop if you:
• Want to learn choreography and actually retain it
• Like music-led movement more than counted sequences
• Want to develop a personal style, not copy one
• Have rhythm you've never done anything with Complete beginner? Start with the beginners course. It teaches the grooves step by step, with no pressure to perform.
